Go Ahead. Judge This Book By It's Cover. I Don't Mind.

So as you can see, I have arranged new cover art by the amazing Lee Moyer!

A general update: Natural Consequences, the forthcoming sequel to Good Intentions, is moving right along. I've very recently (days ago) finished a rough draft, and it is my highest current priority. I have every reason to believe I'll have it out within the next month or two. Natural Consequences will also have cover art by Lee Moyer--and it's gorgeous!

I have also been working on print-on-demand versions of all my books through CreateSpace -- yes, for both Good Intentions and for Poor Man's Fight.

As part of that, I've given Good Intentions a bit of a final editorial polish. I'd say it's a "cleaner" version, except it's still rife with explicit, naughty fun times (I didn't cut any scenes so much as some unnecessary language).  If you're interested in getting this newer version, you don't have to re-purchase it from Amazon. Contact customer service, tell them there has been a revision and you want it, and they'll send it to you free of charge.

Now, back to work for me!

(PS: Check out Lee Moyer's other work at leemoyer.com!)

  1. Glad to finally hear from you again - over a month of silence is a bit worrisome, though one gets accustomed to it.
It's nice to see the new cover! It doesn't quite fit my taste, but it is a great piece of art nonetheless. I also can't wait for the Print-version of your books.
One question though: Will Good Intentions be available with both the classic cover as well as the newer one, or just the newer one?
Keep up the awesome writing and good luck!

    1. At the moment it doesn't look like providing different options is practical, but I'll look into it. Thanks!

  3. I have both of the Calendars he did for Patrick Rothfuss's Worldbuilders fund raiser. Love his work, and the new cover looks amazing.

Are you going to do a new cover for Poor Man's Flight as well?

    1. I have no current plans to replace the cover art for Poor Man's Fight. I'm quite happy with it.

  4. Will definitely be purchasing hard copies as soon as they become available. Can't wait for the sequels, read Good Intentions then Poor Man's Fight and immediately reread Good Intentions, keep up the good work.

  5. Speaking of hard copies, are you going to offer any signed copies?

  7. What's with the tattoo on Lorelei's back? I don't recall her having a tattoo.

  8. Uhm... classmate told me about the movie Bloodrayne today, and in turn I found out about the game it's based on... thing is, the tattoo on Lorelei's back looks a lot like the logo from the game. It looks awesome (and the longer I look at the cover the more I like it), but I wonder if that is wanted or just a coincidence. And I wonder about the whole copyright thing.
I am paranoid, yes, but it'd be aweful if something happened to Good Intentions because of that D:

    1. I'm not worried. It's the alchemical symbol for brimstone. The Bloodrayne people didn't invent it. Even if they were so inclined, the people behind that property would have an awfully hard time making a case against its use here.

    2. Ooooh, I didn't know that, good to know, thanks for the info.
In that case, like said far above, good luck and keep up the good work - oh, and stay healthy and such :)

    3. What Leon means is: Don't go dying on us now.

    4. Everybody remember this moment. Trevor just jinxed me. :P

  9. Hmmm, I'm still a fan of the original artwork, but I'm with Leon. The more I look at the new cover the more I like it.

And I second the no dying!

I would also like an autographed hard copy if you offer them. Perhaps after we buy the hard copies we can mail them to you for an autograph? Happy to pay the postage!

Now back to writing! I wanna know why Wade is back early from Afghanistan, why Jason is suddenly Buffy the Vampire Slayer, if Taylor got her no strings attached orgy, if Shannon and Officer-Shoots-Your-Ass make cameos. . .

    1. Because I don't like setting folks up for disappointments: Taylor doesn't make an appearance in this book. She's not dead or anything, and I like that character a lot, but I was promptly confronted with the problem of having too many moving parts. I'm sure we'll see her again someday, but at the moment she's off doing her own thing.

Pretty much the same could be said for Shannon. I have no real intentions of her and Alex ever meeting, but I do plan to do something with her again someday. I've got a lot on my agenda, though, so I'm not sure when that'll be.

    2. Doesn't bother me too much, I liked Taylor, but the interplay between Alex, Lorelei, and Rachel was much more interesting.

    3. Who was Shannon? I don't recall. I guess it is time for a re-read now any way since part two is around the corner.

    4. Shannon is a character from one of my stories on Literotica... which is where Alex & Co. got their start. Rachel and Lorelei both make appearances, as does the afforementioned Officer-Shoots-Your-Ass. As it happens, that one takes place more or less concurrently with the upcoming sequel.

      Her story is here: http://www.literotica.com/s/whoever-you-want-to-be

Molly and Onyx also appear in: http://www.literotica.com/s/justice-in-the-raw

  10. I like the new cover as art work, but I'd never read a hard copy in public. This cover looks like a romance novel, and even though I'm secure in my masculinity, I prefer subdued book covers that don't draw a lot of attention.

  11. Mixed feelings here. That isn't how I envisioned Lori but Rachel is really hot!

And is it just me or does Rachel look kind of like Jennifer Aniston?

    1. Y'know, every reader/viewer will of course make their own connections... but no. Not Jennifer Aniston. I just can't handle that. I'm sure she's a nice person, but I just can't envision her in that role. :)

The model for Rachel looks nothing like Jennifer Aniston. The second cover, when the book is ready, has more of a close-up of Rachel's face.

  12. Mixed feelings here too. Being a Lorelei fan, I like the art work a lot, but Lorelei's face...it's more alien than I pictured.

  13. I'm late to the party, but I am thrilled to see a sequel is in the offing. Also, I love the new cover and can't wait to see the one for the next book. Keep up the excellent work.
